Samantha Schmidt, Corps de Ballet

Originally from Yucaipa, California, Samantha Schmidt began her training at the School of International Ballet of Redlands under the direction of Cecilia Hering. In 2018, she furthered her training with The Kirov Academy of Washington DC where she worked with Bat Udval and Evgenia Singur. The following year she moved to Houston, Texas to dance with Vitacca Ballet. Samantha has participated in many acclaimed summer intensives including, American Ballet Theater, Colorado Ballet, and the International Master Classes in Prague. As she danced, she worked on receiving her associate degree in Spanish and in 2021 she spent a year as a dance major and English minor at The University of California, Irvine. She recently completed her BA in Psychology at The University of Arizona. Samantha spent the 2022/23 season at City Ballet of San Diego and joined Golden State Ballet as a Corps de Ballet member in 2023. In her free time, Samantha enjoys reading and yoga and cherishes connecting with her friends and family.
