Before the curtain rises at the Civic Theatre and CCAE, experience what's being created inside the studio—up close, in an intimate black-box setting where the distance between artist and audience disappears.
Crafted: First Look features world premiere works created by Golden State Ballet artists, alongside exclusive excerpts from works you'll encounter later this season.

Every Golden State Ballet performance begins in the studio—with an idea, an artist, and a team of collaborators working to bring that idea to life.
Your ticket to Crafted: First Look supports the artists who make that creative process possible. But for those who want to take their support a step further, our special reception performances offer an opportunity to directly invest in the repertory you'll see throughout the 2026–27 season.
Following the October 31 at 8:00 PM and November 1 at 1:00 PM performances, join us for an evening of food, drinks, connection, and fundraising. Bid on unique items in our silent auction, or choose to underwrite a specific element of Golden State Ballet's upcoming productions—from music and choreography to lighting, costumes, sets, and more.
