Daria Leonteva, Apprentice
Daria Leonteva has trained at Golden State Ballet Academy for the past five years, after making the switch from rhythmic gymnastics to ballet at the age of 12. During her time at the academy, she has had the opportunity to develop her technique and artistry through performing in works including Raymonda, La Bayadère, and Études, as well as performing as a soloist in Paquita.
At the age of 16, she joined Golden State Ballet Company as a Trainee and was promoted to Apprentice at 17. Since joining the company, she has performed in productions including The Nutcracker and A Midsummer Night’s Dream, gaining valuable experience in a professional company environment.
She has also participated in ballet competitions, including Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), where she placed third in the Senior Classical category at the 2026 San Diego Regional and advanced to the YAGP Finals. She has also received several awards at California Dance Classics and Universal Ballet Competition.
In her spare time, she loves spending time at the beach with her friends and family, traveling, and exploring new places.
