Madison Bruns, Apprentice
Originally from Reno, Nevada, Madison began her training at 5 years old with The Conservatory of Movement along with A.V.A Ballet Theater. At age 14, she was invited to join Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre’s pre-professional program. In 2019, she moved to Washington, D.C. to dance with The Washington Ballet as a trainee under the direction of Julie Kent. While at TWB, she performed in numerous company productions, including George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco, Theme and Variations, and Serenade, along with Julie Kent’s Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Giselle, and Septime Webre’s The Nutcracker.
In 2024, Madison then began her professional career with Grand Rapids Ballet as an apprentice for 2 seasons. There, she performed various ballets by choreographers Septime Weber, Val Caniparoli, Justin Peck, James Sofranko, and Penny Saunders. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to train at San Francisco Ballet, American Ballet Theater, Ballet West, Orlando Ballet, and Chautauqua. Madison is excited to have moved back west and to be dancing with Golden State Ballet.
