Nura Parikh, Apprentice

Nura Parikh hails from Denver Colorado where she attended the Colorado Ballet Academy under the instruction of Erica Fischbach, Domenico Luciano, and Maria Mosina. She continued her training in Tucson, Arizona at the University of Arizona School of Dance where she trained in contemporary, jazz, modern, and ballet under the instruction of professors Tamara Dyke-Compton, Christopher Compton, Lorin Mathis, and Hayley Meier. While attending the University of Arizona, Nura had the opportunity to perform repertoire by a wide variety of choreographers including Christopher Compton, Gerald Arpino, and others.

Nura later joined the Colorado Ballet Studio Company where she performed for three seasons. Some favorite repertoire of hers include Swan Lake, Val Caniparoli’s Jekyll and Hyde, Coppélia, Kenneth Tindall’s Casanova, Septime Webre’s Alice (In Wonderland), Christopher Wheeldon’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and George Balanchine’s Serenade, Rubies, and Concerto Barocco. Nura is thrilled to be joining Golden State Ballet!
