Golden State Ballet Announces 2025 Dancer Promotions
As Golden State Ballet prepares for a landmark 2025/2026 season, we are proud to recognize three dancers whose artistry and dedication have left a lasting impact on our stage. Their promotions reflect both extraordinary individual achievement and the continued growth of our company.
Silken Kelly - Promoted to Principal
We are overjoyed to promote Silken Kelly to the rank of Principal following a season that showcased her remarkable artistry and command of the stage. In our 2024 production of The Nutcracker, Silken lit up the Civic Theatre as the Sugar Plum Fairy, her grace and precision captivating the audience. In Cinderella her interpretation of the Fairy Godmother was rich with warmth and power, shaping one of the production’s defining moments. Silken's elegance, musicality, and emotional depth continue to be a cornerstone of Golden State Ballet’s artistic identity.

Emiliano Dael - Promoted to Corps de Ballet
We are pleased to announce that Emiliano Dael has been promoted to the Corps de Ballet after a breakout season of dynamic and memorable performances. His bold and charismatic portrayal of the Russian Lead in The Nutcracker brought unmatched energy and flair to the stage. Emiliano also shone in Mackenzie Davis’s Connections during our Crafted program, where his movement quality and expressive presence left a lasting impression.

Haley Desjarlais - Promoted to Corps de Ballet
Finally, we are delighted to announce that Haley Desjarlais has also been promoted to the Corps de Ballet, following a season that demonstrated her versatility, sensitivity, and strength as a performer. She delivered compelling performances in both Mackenzie Davis’s Connections and Natasha Rader’s Thoughtscape during Crafted, displaying remarkable adaptability across diverse choreographic styles. In Cinderella, Haley charmed audiences as the Spring Fairy, dancing with fresh energy and radiant presence.
