Golden State Ballet is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Development Intern to support the Company’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts during the 2026 season. This hands-on internship provides practical experience in nonprofit development, philanthropy, and arts administration within a professional performing arts organization, with the potential for consideration for roles in future seasons based on performance, availability, and organizational needs. 

This position is ideal for high school or college students seeking academic credit or hands-on experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, arts administration, or related fields. 

What You’ll Do 

The Development Intern will assist with a range of fundraising and engagement activities, including: 

  • Assisting with grant applications, reporting, and prospect research 

  • Supporting donor management and engagement, including research and stewardship efforts 

  • Supporting planning and coordination of outreach and donor engagement events 

  • Assisting with donor communications and acknowledgment materials 

  • Providing general administrative support to development initiatives as needed
